The Raspberry Pi really is the $35 computer that changed the world (see article for details).

I quite like the last paragraph of the article where they basically say that they succeeded because they didn’t know that what they were trying to do was impossible. Particularly in the realm of computing technology where the impossible seems to happen every few weeks and becomes ‘boring’ a few weeks later, it is often a real advantage to not know the barriers that you will have to overcome before committing to one’s goals*.

* This is not to say that ignorance is bliss or that it is a necessary condition for success but rather that not knowing what barriers you will need to overcome does not mean that you will fail and might actually play a key role in how and why you eventually succeed.
